Phurba Sherpa is a world record–holding Director, Producer, and International Field Producer with over 17 years of experience across broadcast television, film production, documentaries, live events, and digital media. Widely recognized for his role in shaping modern Nepali television, he has delivered impactful content for local, regional, and international audiences. With more than 1,750 credited hours of production experience, Phurba has directed and produced 150+ music videos, television commercials, documentaries, reality shows, and long-format television programs. His work blends strong visual storytelling with disciplined production execution across entertainment, factual, branded, and broadcast formats. As an International Field Producer, Phurba has worked on complex, high-pressure productions involving live broadcasts, international newsgathering, and crisis coverage. He collaborated with CNN during the 2015 Nepal earthquake, supporting field production, live coverage, logistics, and story development under demanding conditions. He continues to contribute visual content and stories from Nepal, reinforcing his expertise in field producing and factual storytelling for global audiences. He played a pioneering role in launching Nepal’s first private-channel reality television shows, including Little Champs, and created Cyber Sansaar, the country’s first technology and gadgets television program. One of his most notable achievements includes serving as Producer and Director of Tamasoma Jyotirgamaya, a television talk show recognized by the World Book of Records, London, as the world’s highest-altitude television talk show, filmed at 5,550 meters at Everest Base Camp. Since 2024, Phurba Sherpa has been based in the United Arab Emirates, expanding his creative footprint across the Middle East while continuing to collaborate on international productions.
